  the wt leadership has hammered into all of it's elders and rank & file's heads, that it is not wise for a man to be alone with a woman he is not married too (adult or young woman... ie 14).

  even in congregation sanctioned duties.. so, why, then, do so many service pairings involve just that: a brother alone in the territory (even if it's to make a call) with a sister he's not married to?.

  Speaking Truth With Our Neighbour

  the 3rd study article in the june 15, 2009 issue of the watchtower is entitled speak truth with your neighbor.

  it has as its opening subheading who is our neighbor?, which includes paragraphs 4-7.. for those interested, page 17 is found in its entirety in a scan found at http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/180262/1/you-can-lie-to-apostates-but-not-the-elders-aug-23-study-wt.

  this linked topic has prompted me to start the topic we are at here.. paragraph 4 mentions that some jewish leaders taught that the term "neighbor" was only to be applied to "worthy" individuals, such as fellow jews or personal friends.

  isaacaustin: spike, you said jehovah defines false prophets...the reasoning book is man's writing.. i am well aware of the reasoning books weak attempt to deny their being a false prophets....such as 'never did they say these are the words of jehovah".

  guess what?

  they did say that, in calling their 1914 generation prophecy 'the creator's promise".

  why does it appear, then, that when the gb is "adjusted" it comes from external sources, such as the 1914 generation dying off, or races integrating nationwide.
